The Seniors Volunteer Driving Centre of Edmonton is a non-profit charity organization for isolated older seniors who need help with transportation. The volunteer driver will pick up the senior at their door and then take them to needed doctors, hospitals, shopping, banks, and other appointments. The cost of services is a yearly membership of $15.00 plus a $7.00 ticket for trips of 2 hours or less. An assessment of need is required and an application must be completed prior to the first service.
MissionOur mission is to assist seniors, as identified in our target audiences, in maintaining their independence and quality of life by staying engaged in the community for as long as practical through the assistance of volunteers helping them to participate in essential appointments, keys service and social engagements.
VisionOlder seniors and all seniors with health / physical limitations are able to stay in the community longer and remain engaged in activities that contribute positively to their quality of life.
